ACT Heritage Grants

2 October 2013

The Hall School Museum has been successful in its application for two ACT Heritage Grants for 2013/14.
A Grant has been awarded to build a disability ramp to enable mobility impaired visitors to gain easier access to the Museum. This will enable far more visitors to experience and enjoy the displays. It will also provide easier access for families with small children in strollers.

The second grant will fund the Museum's exhibition for the 2014 Canberra Heritage Festival on 'Pioneer Families of the District' which will also have a focus on the difficult lives of women and the interaction between the indigenous people and the early settlers.

There is also funding for display furniture and conservation material which will enable the 'Friends of Hall Museum' to continue the work of conserving and displaying the fine collection that the Museum has been gathering.
