Southwell, Albert Clive

Albert Clive Southwell was born on 29th July 1890 to Samuel ('Captain Sam') and Ann (Nee Croxton) Southwell. Captain Sam and his family lived at a number of different places before finally settling on Sam's selection 'Woodburn'. (Wallaroo) Albert married Louisa Marion Southwell, and they lived at various places associated with Albert's teaching career, including Albury and Junee. He was the teacher at Mulligan's Flat and Tallagandra Part time schools from August 1915 to December 1916. According to ACT Memorial records he enlisted in 1915 but was rejected on account of defective vision.
