National Significance Assessment

A full assessment of the Hall School Museum and its collection is currently underway. The assessment is being carried out by Professor Edwin (Eddie) Braggett .
Prof. Braggett is a Board member of the Australian National Museum of Education and author of a number of books on education.
The assessment has been funded by the National Library of Australia under their Community Services Grant program.
Prof. Braggett has visited the Museum on a number of occasions and gathered a variety of material. He has spoken with the 'Friends of the Hall School Museum' seeking their comments about the significance of the Museum and its collection and also its cultural connection with the Village and the community.
Prof. Braggett sees the history of the Hall School and its association within the Village context as being extremely important. The school also reflects the developments in education methods over the years with the changes in the curriculum, the use of technology when it became available and how the future life and work of the pupils who completed their schooling at Hall has changed since the early 20th century.

When Prof. Braggett has completed his work, his report will be sent to the National Library for evaluation by representatives from the major national institutions.
