McKinnon, Mr John

"Provisional School, Jeir. 22 .11. 1905

Travelling Expenses

Sir, I have the honor to inform you that my travelling expenses from South Gundagai to Jeir amounted to £1. Railway fare 14/-; 13/6 ; Conveyance 6/-. I therefore beg to state that the above be paid as soon as possible as it is very difficult for me to keep out of debt on the small salary that I am getting.

I have the honor to be, Sir Your obedient servant J.C.McKinnon"

[Note: John McKinnon stayed at Jeir less than four months before moving on to Shannons Flat school in February 1906 – where he stayed for nine months]
