The neighbours pay a call

18 February 2016

We were delighted to welcome Virginia Rawling, Jackie Wilson and Meryl Hunter from the Murrumbateman History Group to the Centre this morning. They are interested in exploring and caring for the history and heritage of Murrumbateman and district, including the Murrumbateman school and schoolhouse.

They were able to visit all areas of the Centre (this gets more challenging!) and say 'hello' to most of the volunteers present. We are invited to visit the Murrumbateman school, and arrangements will be made shortly for such a visit. Hopefully this will be the first of many exchanges with 'the neighbours'.

The History Group will be putting on a display at the Murrumbateman Market on Saturday 12th March (9.00 am - 1.00 pm) as a celebration of Murrumbateman's 131st birthday.
