The Museum of Australian Democracy (MOaD), located in the nation's old parliament house features collections that have unique historical value to Australia, having important associations with the processes of government, the building's functions and with the people who governed Australia from 1927 to 1988.

As all museums do they recently finalised a stock-take of their display paraphernalia and decided they had too much and offered the excess items to other museums and display galleries in the ACT.

Ever watchful for good quality display materials that we could never hope to afford ourselves we put in a bid for ten of their display cases and we were successful.

Two of our volunteers, Peter Browning and Graham Wilson did the heavy lifting (literally), and the bounty arrived by truck on Wednesday 9th August. We are now deciding where they will be located and more importantly what will be displayed.
